MolnOS uses a simple, perpetual licensing model. You purchase once and own the software forever—no subscriptions, no recurring fees, no usage limits.

When Do You Need a License?

Personal and Educational Use

Free. You can use MolnOS for personal projects, learning, education, or evaluation without purchasing a license. There are no restrictions on features or capabilities.

Commercial and Organizational Use

$499 one-time purchase. If you use MolnOS for commercial purposes or within an organization (business, non-profit, government, etc.), you need a commercial license.

This includes:

• Using MolnOS to build or run commercial applications
• Deploying MolnOS within a business or organization
• Using MolnOS to provide services to customers
• Operating MolnOS in any commercial context

You are free to test out and trial MolnOS for up to 30 days without a license.

What’s Included

The license entitles one organization to use a single major version of MolnOS (e.g. version 1.x).

Organizations may of course, later, buy licenses for more recent major versions of MolnOS, as they are released.

What’s Not Included

The license does not include:

• Professional support or SLAs
• Custom development or consulting
• Training or onboarding services
